Why Print-on-Demand?
One of the greatest environmental challenges in apparel production is overproduction and excess inventory. Traditional manufacturing often requires bulk orders, leading to surplus stock that may eventually go to waste. Print-on-demand eliminates this issue by producing and/or printing items only when ordered, significantly reducing material waste and energy consumption.
Furthermore, the streamlined supply chain means fewer steps between production and delivery, minimizing transportation emissions—a key factor in reducing our carbon footprint.
Finally, many of our print-on-demand products use high quality digital printing processes that reduce the use of petroleum-based inks.
Of course, we continue to use only reclaimed wood and bio-based resins in our handcrafted products - surfboards, bodysurfing handplanes, bookmarks, pens, and more!
