Yellow Rose Teardrop Handplane

$ 195.00

This beautiful, tear drop handplane is made from sustainably grown spruce and rosewood offcuts from the production of Santa Cruz Guitar Company guitars. We've also incorporated cedar from old fence posts found at the municipal landfill in Santa Cruz, California. Abalone inlay at the tail completes the package.

The hand strap is nylon and adjustable. It is covered with offcuts from O'Neill Wetsuit product development, and the wood is shaped with our unique, ergonomic hand fit. The hardware is solid brass. As with all Ventana handplanes, this one floats so you can easily pass it between friends in the waves.

You only need a single handplane on your leading arm for a great ride every time! This is a terrific conversation piece and bodysurfs like a dream.

Hand-made in Santa Cruz, California by Master Craftsman Martijn Stiphout
