Ventana "Save-a-Surf" Tool
This is a totally unique tool kit! With four integrated fin screws, an Allen wrench secured with tiny magnets, a leash cord, a wax comb/scraper and a stainless steel ring bottle opener, this all-in-one tool is perfect for saving your session. It's a usable piece of art designed and produced by master craftsman Martijn Stiphout in Santa Cruz, California. They are laser cut to exact specifications, hand oiled and assembled by Ventana.
These are made in Santa Cruz with sustainably grown, Honduras Mahogany. The wood is offcut from the production of guitar necks by the Santa Cruz Guitar Company. Founded in 1976, the Santa Cruz Guitar Company brought boutique guitar making to the forefront of the steel string guitar business. They have created custom guitars for some of the top names in the music industry: Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, Dick Dale, Jimmy Buffet, Johnny Cash and hundreds of others. The leash cords are made from the left over paracord from our Ventana Khordz mugs, and they're extremely strong. Paracord was originally made for use in the suspension lines of parachutes and was even used by space shuttle astronauts to repair the Hubble Space Telescope. The Allen wrenches, magnets and screws, while sourced from U.S. companies, are likely made overseas. We're working on improving that piece of the supply chain.
These are as beautiful as they are useful. Buy one today and use it at your home break or off-road in the wild whenever you need to save your surf session! And after a good surf, we think you should use the bottle opener on a local brew like the great beers served up by Humble Sea Brewery.
