Danger Lurking

$ 345.00

Chris AllenThis frame on this piece is a vintage window frame from Beulah Park, the artist's home and a former religious retreat from the 1920s through the 1950s. The plywood backing is from Habitat for Humanity's ReStore in Santa Cruz, CA. The anchovies and sea grass are cut from the lids of antique Don Antonio brand anchovy lids from Cannery Row in Monterey, CA. The large fish lurking in the sea grass is a Honduras mahogany guitar neck offcut from Santa Cruz Guitar Company. This beautiful mahogany is the same used in Ventana surfboards, handplanes and surf supplies.
