Ventana Surfboard Tower Stand
These stable, low-profile surfboard stands are designed and built by Ventana master craftsman, Martijn Stiphout, in Santa Cruz, California. We use these stands for our pop-up shop board displays and to showcase Ventana surfboards in our own homes. They've proven stable even on breezy days.
The cut-outs in the tower allow this stand to work equally well with your board displayed fins in or out. The base has an oak cork pad that looks great and is gentle on your board's tail. The pad at the top of the stand is also covered in cork and can pivot so that it rests flat and secure against your board at any angle. The twine string is discreet and strong, and wraps securely around a small, perpendicular dowel to keep your board from sliding.
The base of the stand is only 18 inches in diameter, so it's perfect for any size room. Use it with a Ventana board or any board that you want to display with pride.
Our first run of this stand is made from standard pine, but future versions will be made from reclaimed woods. If you would like yours to be "upcycled" from reclaimed or recycled woods, you can contact us for a custom order at the same price. We can also make this product to your custom specs. We don't stain or paint our stands, but you can certainly color them to your liking.
Keep your board waxed up so your living space smells like surf wax. We like to use our own pine-scented wax. Every time someone walks through the door, the whole house smells like a surfing adventure!
